Facilities at NISTE
National Institute of Science & Technical Education (NISTE) is spread over 26 acres of land, and houses on its campus classrooms, workshops and laboratories with the state-of-the-art equipment in all the classical and modern technologies, as well as, applied sciences. It has an auditorium and a conference hall, library and educational resource centre, general services, computer centre, block for mechatronics and computer aided engineering, syndicate rooms and faculty offices, and five hostels for three hundred trainees/students and visiting national and international guests.

Workshops and laboratories are fully equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment, tools, instruments, apparatus and hand tools. All the science laboratories and technology workshops of the institute are equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment, tools instruments, apparatus and hand tools.

Residential campus
NISTE has two residential accommodations, one for the DG and other for the Dy. DG. Each accommodation has 2500 sq. Ft. Covered area approx. It has also 18 flats for the supporting staff. Each flat has two small rooms a kitchen and a bathroom having total covered area 15,000 sq. Ft. Approx. |

Playgrounds
It has one football ground and one cricket ground. There is enough space to make additional grounds such as tennis courts and badminton courts, etc. Play grounds area is 40,000 sq. Ft. Approx.

Transportation facilities (wagons and minibuses and taxis service) to the NISTE are available throughout Islamabad and away. NISTE has Three wagons and three cars for its various uses. There is a provision to purchase a coaster and a car and a wagon under Asian development bank (ADB) funded science education project (sep-ii). |

Communications
The NISTE has its own telephone exchange serving the entire institute, and fax machines. All offices, hostels have telephones and modern personnel or microcomputers. The institute has electronic network and membership of Internet. The institute library also possesses computers, compact disk (cd rom) writer and rewriters, video recording and displaying instrument, microfiche readers, copy printers and photocopying services.

Mosque
Institute has its own masque having covered area 1500 sq. Ft. The mosque has the capacity for 200 namazee each in the hall and courtyard. |
